We quit our jobs, returned to the village and formed a company called ‘Pracaya’ which means coming together. The motto of the company is reverse immigration and promoting vacation with zero carbon emission. To meet this vision, we first took the franchise of Zostel which is a chain pf backpackers hostel and set it up here in Bir Village. Pracaya employes 12 locals, who were earlier working in Delhi/Gurgaon or Chandigarh; for front desk, chef and housekeeping roles.
We also explored a trek in the Barot valley which engaged local trekking guides and started promoting monastic tours on Mountain Bikes MTB along with paragliding.Trek, Take Off and Trail; None of them is polluting the environment.
